volevo sperimentare con tessuti nuovi per me e trovando questi metraggi ridotti la scelta si è rivelata molto conveniente. E comunque i materiali rimangono di qualità e recuperati con cura.
For the Spring 2026 Couture Capsule "The Harbingers", Marlon Ferry reinterpreted materials supplied by Zerow, turning them into a couture look presented during Fashion Beyond Waste — Berlin Edition
The Collaboration
Founded in Berlin in 2024, Marlon Ferry's label stands out for an approach to couture that combines craftsmanship, technological experimentation and conceptual storytelling.
On the occasion of Fashion Beyond Waste — Berlin Edition, Berlin-based designer Marlon Ferry presented one of the looks from his Spring 2026 Couture Capsule "The Harbingers", made using materials supplied by Zerow.
The garment was displayed during the event as an example of how recovered materials can become part of new couture experiments, through research into volumes, tailored constructions and experimental techniques.
The Collection
The garment presented is part of the Spring 2026 Couture Capsule "The Harbingers", a collection that reflects on the meeting of innovation, craftsmanship and sustainability.
The project explores the potential of eco-conscious, biodegradable or recycled materials, integrating them into a couture language where every element is designed to showcase craft work and the construction of the garment.
Within the collection, matter takes centre stage: experimental surfaces, textures and structures shape a vision in which sustainability is not just a production principle, but an integral part of the creative narrative.
The Materials
To create the look presented at Fashion Beyond Waste — Berlin Edition, Marlon Ferry selected deadstock materials, leftovers from Italian luxury houses, from Zerow's archive, including a PU faux leather with a grey mélange viscose base, characterised by a soft, structured texture.
Recovered materials which, through the designer's work, are reinterpreted in a couture key, showing how textile surpluses too can become part of new aesthetic and constructive experiments.
