A radical and concrete vision
Fashion Beyond Waste was born from the observation of a profound contradiction: in a sector that generates beauty, innovation, and creativity, every year enormous quantities of materials remain unused, stored, or even destroyed. This is where the vision of Zerow begins, which goes beyond simply recovering materials to propose a paradigm shift: building an ecosystem in which every player in the supply chain—from brands to suppliers to independent designers—can actively contribute to change.

A new creative epicenter for circular fashion
Fashion Beyond Waste is much more than an event: it is a cultural and sensorial experience that connects Creativity, sustainability, and regeneration. The heart of the initiative is a group exhibition featuring an international selection of emerging and established brands and designers engaged in upcycling, creative reuse, and research into regenerated materials.
The event aims to be a tangible meeting point, where visitors can discover the projects and creative processes of those who are rewriting the rules of fashion. Participating brands are invited to interpret the theme of circular fashion through total looks or capsule collections, made exclusively with recycled, deadstock, or regenerated materials, giving new life to what would otherwise be considered waste.
Each edition is structured as a collective narrative, where the protagonists interpret the theme of circular fashion through exhibitions that consciously engage with the architectural spaces that host them, transforming them into places of shared reflection and inspiration.
The event is also enriched by moments of in-depth analysis and active participation, through a program of talks and workshops. During the talks, professionals, designers, and activists discuss key issues related to sustainability, ethical production, and the cultural transformation of the fashion system. The workshops, on the other hand, open a practical and participatory space where you can experiment with reuse techniques and processes and concretely approach a different way of designing and making fashion.
Two editions, one shared vision
In 2025, Fashion Beyond Waste took shape in two distinct but complementary moments, both hosted in the city of Florence, the cradle of culture and creativity.
1st edition – January 2025, Spazio Sassetti (Florence)
The first edition, held from 17 to 19 January during the Pitti Uomo event at Spazio Sassetti, marked the official debut of the event, bringing to light a careful selection of 14 brands and projects linked to upcycling and textile regeneration. The space, known as an artistic residence and center for contemporary art exhibitions in the heart of the historic center provided an intimate and evocative context.
2nd edition – June 2025, Villa Biagiotti (Florence)
The journey continued with the second edition, held from June 17 to 19, in the evocative setting of Villa Biagiotti, a fascinating historic residence in the heart of Florence. The building, now abandoned, retains a decadent and powerful charm, capable of evoking the very idea of transformation and rebirth. The edition saw the participation of 37 brands, where disused spaces, rooms suspended in time, and forgotten architectural details inspired new display formats.
Participating Brands: Intertwined Visions
These brands not only presented original garments and installations, but also helped generate a concrete dialogue between fashion, architecture, and sustainability.
The opportunity to interact directly with the creatives, hear the stories behind each piece, and learn about the production processes strengthened the bond between the public, exhibitors, and curators. The connections formed between the brands themselves, as well as with the public and industry professionals, were one of the most significant aspects of the event: Fashion Beyond Waste created a fertile space for discussion, exchange, and collaboration.
